McFaddenPlace Moved ... But You Can't Tell

no yahooYou might not know we moved ... I guess it's better to say we switched our hosting at mcfaddenplace.  Not significant to any of our readers but it is significant (or maybe not) to Yahoo.  Yahoo webhosting stinks!  We started there back in 2005 right before we moved to Oxford.  We used Yahoo because they had an easy to use «site builder» and hosting was included.  Fast forward 4 years, 3 website designs and a switch to wordpress and we've outgrown Yahoo.  How does someone outgrow Yahoo?  Easy, they only have tools for people that don't want to experiment with new tools ... they don't even allow people to work with the latest and greatest platforms like WordPress.

Colorado cable, internet and phone rants

In theory bundles are great for customers. It creates value, there is one payment, and the installation process is easier ... but the value of a bundle disappears if a company can't offer 2 or 3 great products. And there lies the core of my frustration ...

Pomona High School class of 96 entreprenuer

IndieGoGoCheck it out. Eric Schell (PHS '96) has recently launched IndieGoGo.com, an «online social marketplace connecting filmmakers and fans to make independent film happen». Eric and I played on the golf team back in the day. Since then Eric has been roaming the world and now has settled down (sort of) in Berekely and founded a company with two other friends. Most recently they were featured on TheAlarmClock, and Eric's partner, Slava gave a great interview.
